Alex’s Caves Mod (1.20.1) adds five new cave biomes to the Overworld. These cave biomes are extremely rare, but they all contain unique blocks, items, creatures, and gameplay mechanics that make them exciting underground destinations to explore. The five biomes are the Magnetic Caves, the Primordial Caves, the Toxic Caves, the Abyssal Chasm, and the Forlorn Hollows. To find any of these cave biomes, you need to discover an Underground Cabin in the Overworld. Inside the cabin, you will find loot barrels with cave tablets and a Cave Compendium, a guidebook for Alex’s Caves that provides all the information you need to find and explore the biomes added by the mod.  Alex’s Caves is a large mod that has been meticulously crafted to create a unique and immersive experience for each new biome. Each biome has its own distinct ambient particles, fog, brightness, lighting color, and other atmospheric elements. Due to the intricate design of the biomes, it is recommended to play without shaders, as some shaders can alter or detract from the unique appearance of several biomes. The mod is also compatible with Just Enough Items and Alex’s Mobs.
