Altwick Castle Map (1.21.3, 1.20.1) – Norman Square Keeps Inspired
Map types:Creation
Altwick Castle Map (1.21.3, 1.20.1) is a creation map designed by KirForcech. Altwick Castle, inspired by the 12th-century Norman square keeps like Rochester and Dover Castles, serves as the primary residence of a powerful feudal baron. Perched atop an impressive cliff, this modest yet formidable fortress combines stoic strength with quaint domestic charm. The castle features a central keep, a stone curtain wall enclosing a bailey, a gatehouse flanked by two wall towers, and a fenced paddock for horses. Within the bailey, two outbuildings house the servants’ quarters, the chapel priest’s chambers, and a meeting hall. Managed by the baron’s loyal bailiff during his frequent travels, Altwick Castle stands as a testament to medieval architectural prowess and feudal power.
