Better Hurt Timer Mod (1.20.4, 1.19.4) tweaks the combat feature, slightly changing the game’s combat mechanics. In addition to the ability to display the amount of damage that the creature or player must take every time it is attacked, Better Hurt Timer Mod also slightly modifies the combat mechanism. Players and Mobs can only attack as fast as their attack speed, meaning a player can only hit within a threshold, so click spamming with their fists won’t do more damage per second than spamming with a sword on hand; players are encouraged to land their hits on time. Armor and Shields are protected, so they only receive damage every quarter of a second to prevent breakage from consecutive attacks. More powerful attacks of the same damage source that happen right after a weak attack have the difference in damage removed. With the tweaked features, you’ll have to revisit the old fighting style to accommodate the new combat mechanics.
