This Minecraft tutorial explains how to craft a bone with screenshots and step-by-step instructions.
In Minecraft, a bone is an item that you can not make with a crafting table or furnace. Instead, you need to find and gather this item in the game.
Let’s explore how to add a bone to your inventory.

How to get a Bone in Survival Mode
You can add a bone to your inventory in Survival mode by killing a skeleton. So let’s get started!
1. Find a Skeleton
You first need to find a skeleton. You can find skeletons in most Overworld biomes in light levels of 7 or less. Skeletons will spawn in the dark, usually at night.
2. Attack and Kill the Skeleton
Once you find a skeleton, you need to attack it. When you attack the skeleton, it will turn pink as it takes damage.
Continue to chase and attack the skeleton. Once you have killed the skeleton, it may drop a bone. There isn’t a 100% chance that the skeleton will drop a bone when it dies. If it doesn’t drop one, find another skeleton and try again.
3. Pick up the Bone
Make sure you pick up the bone before it disappears.
A bone is a useful item and should be kept in your inventory to be used later.
