This Minecraft tutorial explains how to craft budding amethyst with screenshots and step-by-step instructions.

In Minecraft, budding amethyst is a new block that was introduced in the Caves & Cliffs Update: Part I. Budding amethyst blocks will create beautiful sounds when you walk on them, break them, place them, or hit them with a projectile.

Budding amethyst is the only block that amethyst can grow on (into its 4 different growth stages: small amethyst bud, medium amethyst bud, large amethyst bud, and then amethyst cluster). Although you can place amethyst buds on other blocks, the amethyst will not grow any further unless placed on a budding amethyst block.

Budding amethyst is an item that you can not make with a crafting table or furnace. You also can not mine budding amethyst, even using Silk Touch. It is only available through the Creative Inventory menu or by using the give command.

Let’s explore how to add budding amethyst to your inventory.
