Many farms in Minecraft require a player to be nearby in order to work. Examples are iron golem farms, bonemeal based farms, etc. Basically, if a player moves away enough distance from a chunk, the chunk gets unloaded and all processes that happen within that chunk will be frozen until the player enters and loads the chunk again. If you want certain farms to work without having the player in its vicinity, then you have to use a chunk loader. A chunk loader will keep chunks loaded even if the player is nowhere near the chunk. The chunk will essentially stay loaded at all times. In the vanilla game, chunk loaders can be built using redstone mechanisms. But if you do not want to go over the headache of fiddling with redstone, Chunk Loader Mod (1.20.1) is for you. This mod adds a chunk loader block that can be crafted by the player. This block has a GUI into which you have input redstone dust. The chunk loader uses redstone dust as fuel and will consume one piece of dust every 20 seconds. If the chunk loader runs off dust, the chunks will be unloaded.

Features:

  • Easily craft and place chunk loader blocks.
  • Allows you to keep chunks loaded at all times, even when the player is not nearby.
  • Needs redstone dust to work.
  • The loader consumes one piece of dust every 20 seconds.
