ColouredChat Mod 1.15.2, 1.14.4 (Adds Color to Usernames in Chat)
Chat on vanilla servers can get hard to read with many people chatting at the same time. ColouredChat Mod 1.15.2, 1.14.4 simply assigns a random color to a users name when they join the server.
Works server-side without requiring anything on the client (However, auto tab completions will not show if the client does not have the mod).
Features:
Configs allow you to change the delimiter around a players name (By default “”), setup which colors will be randomly assigned, and enable/disable commands.
The mod adds a few commands:
- /colouredchat clear|set colour
– This command allows players to set a default color upon joining the server, clear reverts the color back to random
(tab completions available only for modded clients) - /colouredchat random
– This command randomizes the players color
(instead of players relogging consecutively) - /colouredchat list
– This command lists all available colors, additionally, the output can be clicked to auto-fill the corresponding set command
(added to make it easier for vanilla clients without auto tab completions) - /colchat (alias deprecated in 1.14.4 with new brigadier system)
List of default colors for command usage:
- DARK_GREEN
- DARK_AQUA
- DARK_RED
- DARK_PURPLE
- GOLD
- BLUE
- GREEN
- AQUA
- RED
- LIGHT_PURPLE
- YELLOW
