Corpse Complex Mod 1.16.5, 1.15.2 (Customizing Casualties)
Corpse Complex Mod 1.16.5, 1.15.2 is a mod that adds a variety of configuration options to the Minecraft death system. Customize all aspects of player death, including drops, kept items, durability, experience, and more. Currently, it provides options to control inventory loss, experience loss, hunger values, and respawn potion effects, as well as support for many mods.
Features:
All configuration options are available both through the config file (“corpsecomplex.cfg“) and the in-game config GUI.
Modules:
- All of the categories can be disabled/enabled in any combination. By default, all of the modules are disabled so you can choose which specific features and options you want enabled.
Inventory:
- With the inventory module, you can control almost all aspects of what happens to the items in your inventory upon death. The vanilla Minecraft behavior has all items simply drop upon death. With Corpse Complex, you can implement features such as keeping only armor upon death and dropping everything else, or keeping everything but introducing a 50% durability loss to all items, and much much more.
- The inventory module has an optional sub-module called Soulbinding, giving you access to an enchantment of the same name that lets you save certain items regardless of the mod’s other settings. This enchantment can be completely customized to determine how powerful it is and its ease of access to players.
Effects:
- With the respawn effects module, you can apply any number of potion effects on players upon respawn. These potion effects can be from vanilla or modded potions, as long as they are registered as a “Potion” and not a custom type of item. You can specify the power and duration of each of these effects individually, granting you a large degree of variety in how you wish to implement them.
- The respawn effects module has a sub-module called “Custom Respawn Effect”, which lets you create a custom potion effect to be applied on respawn. These options let you modify a player’s attributes in ways separate from pre-made potions, and in some ways only available through this sub-module. Every aspect of this custom respawn effect, named “Memento Mori”, is completely customizable and optional.
Experience:
- With the experience module, you can control what happens to a player’s experience upon death, including manipulating experience orb generation.
Hunger:
- With the hunger module, you can control what hunger values a player keeps upon death and set minimum and maximum limits.
Respawning:
- With the respawning module, you can control whether players can set their bed spawns or grant them the ability to return to their death location.
