Dungeons and Taverns Nether Fortress Overhaul Data Pack (1.21.10, 1.21.1) replaces the vanilla Nether Fortress with a more complex and challenging structure. This pack introduces new features and elements to the Nether Fortress, enhancing your exploration and combat experience in the Nether. Enjoy playing this data pack!
Features:
- Replaces the vanilla Nether Fortress with a fully overhauled, more complex structure.
- Use the command
/locate structure minecraft:fortressto find it. - Guaranteed 1 Blaze Spawner inside the fortress; additional blaze spawners generate randomly throughout the structure.
- The fortress bridge section has been completely redesigned:
- Bridge pieces have a 1/4 chance to spawn a chest containing vanilla fortress loot.
- Bridge intersection pieces (straight segments between crossroads) have a 1/6 chance to spawn a Blaze Spawner Tower (if space allows).
- The interior halls of the fortress have been overhauled extensively:
- Three types of hallway parts exist:
- Slim: chance of vanilla chest or decoration or nothing.
- Stairs: always lead one level down or up (Nether Wart stairs, Blaze stairs) and change level of wings.
- Wings: wing-sections that can contain rooms (30 rooms of size 7×4×7, and 11 rooms of size 7×4×15, including blaze spawner rooms and magma cube spawner rooms).
- Rooms may contain loot chests which first roll the vanilla loot table to ensure compatibility, then roll the custom loot table for this overhaul.
- Curves cannot connect to other curves; wings cannot connect to other wings (ensures layout variety).
- Three types of hallway parts exist:
- No special vaults or trial spawners in this overhaul version (unlike some other structure overhauls).
- The design uses hallways, wings, bridges and rooms borrowed from the “Nether Keep” style but applied to the nether fortress format.
- The structure aims to preserve compatibility while giving a tougher exploration experience: more spawners (blaze and magma cube), more loot opportunities, and more complex layout.
- Works as a standalone datapack/structure overhaul—does **not** require the base Dungeons and Taverns mod to function.

Inside Coridor Rooms
The Inside Fortress Part Borrows Rooms from the Nether Keep, but no Vaults in this one!
