Eggs to Capture Mobs Mod (1.19, 1.18.2) adds to the game a new item, the Catching Egg, which allows players to imprison any entities and creatures once it is thrown onto their faces. The idea of bringing the mobs into your own pocket is tantamount to the Pokemon catching system, therefore, explaining the similarity. However, in Minecraft, there are many mobs as well as hostile entities that may serve a purpose for the game. For example, hostile mobs could produce a certain type of material, thus allowing players to farm more of that, and normal mobs such as Sheep, Pigs can be slaughtered for Wool and Meat as well. However, commuting around the overworld just to catch these creatures seem quite bizarre as players wouldn’t have time to find all of them again. If players utilize the Catching Eggs, they can just throw these eggs onto the creatures and they would gain the respective Spawning Eggs.
