Equipping an elytra allows players to glide across large distances with ease, while equipping a chestplate will reduce damage taken by the player from most damage sources. Both of these items are very useful for the player, but you cannot use both of them simultaneously. The vanilla game only allows you to equip an elytra or a chestplate at once. But not anymore! Elytra Chestplate Mod (1.21.4, 1.21.3) allows you to combine an elytra and a chestplate, so that you can use both simultaneously.
