Ender Drone Addon (1.20) adds a remote combat drone to Minecraft. You can control the drone from a safe distance and use its laser beam to eliminate targets. Once you activate the drone, you can fly it around and shoot at enemies while you remain stationary.

Features:

Crafting Recipe

  • To craft an Ender drone, you don’t need any new fany materials, just get 4 iron ingots, 3 phantom membranes, an eye of ender, and an echo shard, set them up in the crafting table like shown below and you’ll get your drone.

Drone Controls

  • To activate your drone just use the item, either keep the screen pressed if you are on a mobile device or left-click on PC, this will take away your control from your character and let you control the drone instead, you can deactivate the drone and take control of your character back by just stopping to hold the drone item, you can do this as many times as you want with no cooldown.

  • Once active, controls the drone’s horizontal movement and camera rotation the same you would control your character, to fly up keep pressing the jump button, and sneak to go down, overall the controls are similar to how you would move while on water without swimming, or to creative fly. You can shoot the drone’s laser by using the drone item as if it were a bow, keep pressing the screen or left click to shoot, and release to stop shooting, the laser does a constant 6 points of damage to whatever it is aiming at, but also makes mobs agro into the drone if hurt by the laser.

Drones can get damaged

  • Your drone has 1 hp and can get hurt by anything but fall damage, if this happens it will “break” deactivating and entering a 3-minute cooldown, the cooldown timer only ticks down while the drone is in your inventory, each drone has its own independent cooldown, so you can use another one if you have it while the first one recharges. You will never lose your drone if it gets hit nor will you suffer damage, but is still better to try to avoid getting hit while using it.

Notes:

  • Due to how entities render, you won’t be able to see the drone if you get too far away from any player, you will still be able to use it, and the impact particles of the laser let you aim it.
  • While controlling the drone is important to remember that what you are controlling IS THE DRONE, you will remain static in place, and can still be hurt or even killed while you control the drone, so keep it in mind and activate the drone only on places you know you’ll be safe.
