This Minecraft tutorial explains how to craft a feather with screenshots and step-by-step instructions.
In Minecraft, a feather is an item that you can not make with a crafting table or furnace. Instead, you need to find and gather this item in the game.
Let’s explore how to add a feather to your inventory.

How to get a Feather in Survival Mode
You can add a feather to your inventory in Survival mode by killing a chicken. So let’s get started!
1. Find a Chicken
You first need to find a chicken. Chickens are very easy to find and can be found in most Overworld biomes on land.
2. Attack and Kill the Chicken
Once you find a chicken, you need to attack it. When you attack the chicken, it will turn pink as it takes damage.
Continue to chase and attack the chicken. Once you have killed the chicken, it will drop raw chicken, and (if you are lucky) a feather.
3. Pick up the Feather
Make sure you pick up the raw chicken and feather before it disappears.
These are both useful items and should be kept in your inventory to be used later.
