Heart Balance Mod (1.20.1, 1.19.4) Health pickup hearts can be dropped by enemies, healing the player if they touch them. If you touch them at full health, they become a healing item later and can be crafted into stronger versions. This mod allows you to customize the players’ initial starting health; you can start at 3, 5, or even 20 hearts. By default, we still give ten, but in your single-player world or modpack you could set this number lower for a challenge! This mod is intended for early game survival, allowing you to use the hearts as a means of healing yourself when no other food sources are available yet. Later on in the game, you can use it to craft new types of items that grant special effects when eaten by players.
