In Bedrock Edition, a heavy core can only be mined successfully using a pickaxe. When mined without a pickaxe, it drops nothing.

Usage
Explosion nullification
The heavy core shields blocks behind it from explosions, similar to obsidian. If the source of the explosion is directly on top of the heavy core, it is prevented from breaking blocks entirely (though entities are still affected as normal).
