  • For Java Edition (PC/Mac), press the T key to open the chat window.
  • For Pocket Edition (PE), tap on the chat button  at the top of the screen.

2. Type the Command

To list all of the players connected to a Minecraft server, use the following command:

/list

Type the command in the chat window. As you are typing, you will see the command appear in the lower left corner of the game window. Press the Enter key to run the command.

Once the cheat has been entered, the /list command will display the number of online players, the maximum number of players allowed on the server, and the names of the players that are currently connected.

In this example, the /list command displays the message “There are 2/20 players online: Axe2Grind, 9Minecraft“. This server can handle up to 20 players and there are currently 2 players online that are named Axe2Grind and 9Minecraft.
