Certain mobs in Minecraft remain passive and will not bother you unless you attack them first and trigger them. The iron golem is an excellent example for this. He guards villages and villagers. You can walk into a village and the iron golem will not obstruct you in any way. But try attacking a villager and the golem will throw you around until you die. Players use certain workarounds to kill a golem without triggering it. For example, lighting it on fire. Since the golem takes damage from the fire, it will not consider it as a player attack and therefore will not be triggered. I See What You Did There! Mod (1.20.6, 1.20.1)  is here to change that. With this mod installed, mobs will detect indirect attacks from players and will get triggered accordingly. In our example, the golem will detect that the fire that ignited it was set up by the player and will attack the player.

Features:

  • No more indirect attacks to passive mobs to avoid triggering them.
  • Indirect fire/fall/water damage caused to mobs will be detected as player attacks and will trigger them.
