Improved Weather Data Pack (1.21.1, 1.20.1) adds dynamic weather systems to Minecraft, introducing new conditions such as sandstorms, and improving existing weather for a more immersive experience. Enjoy playing this data pack!

  • Gamerules
    • You can modify gamerules with this commands
    1. /scoreboard players set #mcs_weather mcs_weather.. (0 or 1, 0 = false, 1 = true)
    2. /function gamerule:mcs_weather/list
    • You can also check which gamerule is enabled/disabled. (/function gamerule:mcs_weather/check_status)Gamerules (All gamerules are true by default)List of gamerules:

  • Snow Biomes
    • Snow layer gets higher during the snow.
    • Snow increases faster during the thunder.
    • Snow melts with this datapack. (from 0 to 128) (during the clear weather and if light is higher than 11)
    • Snow melts x9 times faster in dry biomes.
    • Snow melts x5 times slower in snowy biomes.
    • Farmland converts into a dirt during the snow, if it contacts with snow.
    • Lava cools down during snow.
    • Player/Mob take freezing damage during the snowstorm. You won’t take damage in areas which light is higher than 11 or if you wear leather chestplate.
  • Desert Biomes
    • Sandstorm. (Rain)
    • Strong Sandstorm + Sand Tornado. (Thunder)
    [Breezes, Rabbits, Camels and entities in leather helmet are immune to sandstorm effects]
  • Jungle, Beach, Lush and Dripstone & Swamp Biomes
    • Clear and At Morning: Mist
    • Flood (Rain)
    • Massive Flood (Thunder)
  • Savanna & Badlands Biomes
    • Fire, Common Lightnings (On shovel and hoe mineable blocks) (Rain, Daytime only)
    • Massive Fire, Common Lightnings (On shovel and hoe mineable blocks) (Thunder, Daytime only)
  • Fireflies
    • Fireflies spawn almost in all biomes. [​If weather is clear and from 60 to 100 height]
    • Fireflies are more common in swamp biomes.
    • Fireflies won’t spawn in ocean, nether, end, mushroom fields biomes.
  • Campfires
    • Campfire is extinguished when it rains.
    • Soul Campfire is extinguished twice much rarer than regular campfire when it rains.
