In Minecraft, Magnesium Oxide is one of the compounds that you can craft using the compound creator. TIP: To enable the Education Edition chemistry features in Minecraft PE, Windows 10, Xbox One or Nintendo Switch, toggle the Education Edition option in your world settings. How to craft Magnesium Oxide

1. Open the Compound Creator Menu

First, open your compound creator so that you have the Compound Creator menu that looks like this:

2. Add Items to make Magnesium Oxide

In the Compound Creator menu, you should see a crafting area that is made up of a 3×3 grid. To make Magnesium Oxide, place 1 Magnesium and 1 Oxygen in the 3×3 grid.

When crafting Magnesium Oxide, you can place the elements anywhere in the grid and you will get the same result. In this example, we have placed 1 Magnesium and 1 Oxygen in the second row. This is the Minecraft crafting recipe for the compound called Magnesium Oxide which has the chemical formula of MgO.

Now that you have filled the crafting area with the correct elements, the Magnesium Oxide will appear in the output box on the right.

3. Move the Magnesium Oxide to Inventory
