From October 13, Minecraft is holding a mob vote for three new mobs that want to join the game. Crab Addon (1.20) adds the first mob – crab, to the game, which has one gigantic claw that it likes to wave around as it scuttles through its home in the mangrove swamp. This giant claw is special because if a player manages to find one, they can use it to place blocks further away. The crab is important to the mangrove swamp ecosystem and can be found hiding between the vines of this mud-tactic biome. If you’re going to play hide and seek with this potential new mob, then keep your eyes peeled!

  • Crabs are the new inhabitants of mangrove biomes, which means they will spawn in mangrove forests and swamps.
  • There’s a chance that these cute little mobs won’t just live in swamps, but somewhere in burrows.
  • There will likely be several different colors of crabs, including red, blue, orange, green, and even the rarest crab with a 1 in 2000 chance (albino crab).
  • You can feed and propagate crabs with fish or dried seaweed.
  • Since they are crabs, they can jump from liana to liana in the mangroves.
  • Crabs can attack a player with their huge claw, but they can also attack each other.
  • If a crab dies, there is a 100% chance that its claw will fall out of the crab, which allows it to further place blocks.
  • There is a chance that the crab will have a different leading claw, right or left.
  • Crabs can live on land for a while, but not for long. After a while, they will die.
