This Minecraft tutorial explains how to craft oxidized copper with screenshots and step-by-step instructions.
In Minecraft, oxidized copper is a new block that was introduced in the Caves & Cliffs Update: Part I. Oxidized copper is an item that you can not make with a crafting table or furnace. Instead, you need to find and gather this item in the game.
Let’s explore how to add oxidized copper to your inventory.
4 Stages of how Copper ages
In Minecraft, copper naturally ages in 4 different stages.
At each stage, the color/appearance of the copper changes as does the block name. Here are the 4 stages of copper aging:
Aging
Block
Appearance
First Stage
Copper
Shiny brown
Second Stage
Exposed Copper
Brown with green flecks
Third Stage
Weathered Copper
Green with brown flecks
Fourth Stage
Oxidized Copper
Green
As the copper ages, the block changes from copper (which is a shiny brown) into exposed copper (which is brown with green flecks). Next, the exposed copper turns into weathered copper (which is green with brown flecks). Finally, weathered copper turns into oxidized copper (which is a solid green color).
