The Passive Piglins Mod (1.18.2) alters the dynamic between players and Piglins in Minecraft. When you walk down into the Nether, there are many things you need to keep an eye out for because not all of the animals that live there will be nice to you. Piglins are one of the more dangerous creatures; they will attack you if you are inside their line of sight, unless you are wearing a piece of gold armor since Piglins adore gold; and you can also use gold bars to trade with them, and sometimes you will acquire valuable things. Piglins love gold. To please them, however, you will need to create a unique artifact known as the Piglin Totem. Gold bars and armor will no longer hold any significance in their eyes, and in order to do so, you will need to make the Piglin Totem. In addition, if you choose to engage in business with Piglins, you will be required to first convert the gold into Piglin Currency and then hand it over to them. There is now a higher level of business! If you give a Piglin the opportunity of a lifetime, they will reward you with some quite useful stuff in exchange.
