This Minecraft tutorial explains how to craft pointed dripstone with screenshots and step-by-step instructions.

How to get Pointed Dripstone in Survival Mode
You can add pointed dripstone to your inventory in Survival mode by finding a stalactite or stalagmite made out of pointed dripstone and gathering it. So, let’s get started!
1. Find Pointed Dripstone
First, you need to find pointed dripstone which can be found underground in the Dripstone Caves biome.
In the Dripstone Caves biome, stalactites can be seen growing from above and stalagmites grow from below. Both stalactites or stalagmites are made out of pointed dripstone and grow on dripstone blocks.
This is what a stalagmite made out of pointed dripstone looks like:
2. Break the Pointed Dripstone
You can mine the pointed dripstone with your hand (you don’t need a tool such as a pickaxe). The game control to break the pointed dripstone depends on the version of Minecraft:
For Java Edition (PC/Mac), left click and hold on the pointed dripstone.
For Pocket Edition (PE), you tap and hold on the pointed dripstone.
For Xbox One, press and hold the RT button on the Xbox controller.
For PS4, press and hold the R2 button on the PS controller.
For Nintendo Switch, press and hold the ZR button on the controller.
For Windows 10 Edition, left click and hold on the pointed dripstone.
For Education Edition, left click and hold on the pointed dripstone.
The pointed dripstone will break and a smaller pointed dripstone will float on the ground.
TIP #1: Use a Trident to break the stalactites above and add Loyalty to your Trident so that it automatically returns to you.
TIP #2: Don’t stand under falling pointed dripstone because it will cause damage if it falls on you. The higher the height, the more damage the pointed dripstone will inflict.
3. Pick up the Pointed Dripstone
Make sure you pick up the pointed dripstone before it disappears.
Once you pick up the pointed dripstone, it will appear in your hotbar.
Pointed dripstone is a useful item and should be kept in your inventory to be used later.
Item ID and Name
Description is what the item is called and (Minecraft ID Name) is the string value that is used in game commands.
