Ranged Pumps Mod (1.21.1, 1.20.1) offers us the possibility of creating an extractor pump that will allow us to extract large quantities of liquids, whether lava, water, or liquids added by other mods. This extractor pump will require Forge Energy to function, and if it receives a Redstone signal, the pump will stop working. Each extractor pump has an internal capacity of 32 buckets, either of water or lava. Once full, it will no longer be able to extract more water or lava, so we will have to empty it or automate an emptying process. The pump, after extracting a block of lava or water, will replace it with a stone block.

Features:

  • It allows players to extract large quantities of liquids, such as water, lava, or other mod-added liquids, from the environment.
  • The pump relies on Forge Energy to operate and halts its function when it receives a Redstone signal.
  • Each pump can hold up to 32 buckets of liquid. If it’s full, extraction stops until it’s manually emptied or an automated emptying system is set up.
  • After extracting a block of water or lava, the pump automatically replaces the extracted block with a stone block, helping to maintain the terrain’s structure.

How to use:

Place the pump down, apply a redstone signal, and it’ll work.

By default, the pump requires no energy, but the pump can be configured to use RF energy in the config.

The size of the pump’s internal tank is by default 32 buckets, you can increase or decrease this in the config.

The pump will stop running if the internal tank is full.

Right click on the pump to know what it is doing and if it is running.

It’ll pump liquids in a rectangular area 1 block under the pump, the size of this rectangular area can be specified in the config.

The pump will also replace any liquids to stone by default. This can be turned off in the config.

Ranged Pumps Mod 2

The default range specified in the config is 128 blocks. That means it will search 64 blocks in any direction of the pump.

This is how it will scan for liquids (from the top left to the bottom right):

Each cell starts from one block under the pump to bedrock.

Crafting Recipes:

Recommend that you should install Just Enough Items (for mods using Forge) or Roughly Enough Items (for mods using Fabric) to view the full recipes included in this mod

Ranged Pumps Mod 4

Notes:

  • The mod doesn’t chunkload pumps.
  • The recommendation is that you use a Chunkloading Ward from Extra Utilities with a few lava generators on top of the pump.
  • You have to place the lava generators higher than the pump so the pump won’t suck up the lava that is used for power generation.
