This Minecraft tutorial explains how to craft a sculk sensor with screenshots and step-by-step instructions.
In Minecraft, a sculk sensor is a new item that was introduced in the Caves & Cliffs Update: Part I and then expanded on in the Wild Update. It can be found in the Ancient City in the Deep Dark biome.
A sculk sensor detects vibration within an 8 block radius and emits a redstone signal when activated by the detected vibrations. The strength of the redstone signal is determined by how close the vibration is to the sculk sensor. The closer the vibration, the stronger the redstone signal (that will be emitted by the sculk sensor).
A sculk sensor is an item that you can not make with a crafting table or furnace. Instead, you need to find and gather this item in the game.
Let’s explore how to add a sculk sensor to your inventory.

How to get a Sculk Sensor in Survival Mode
You can add a sculk sensor to your inventory in Survival mode by mining a sculk sensor with a tool that has been enchanted with Silk Touch. So let’s get started!
1. Find a Sculk Sensor
First, you need to find a sculk sensor in your Minecraft world. A sculk sensor is usually found in an Ancient City in the Deep Dark biome.
This is what a sculk sensor looks like:
2. Hold a Tool with Silk Touch
To mine the sculk sensor, you will need to use a tool that has been enchanted with Silk Touch such as pickaxe, shovel, or axe:

In this example, we are going to use a diamond pickaxe that is enchanted with Silk Touch.
3. Mine the Sculk Sensor
The game control to mine the sculk sensor depends on the version of Minecraft:
For Java Edition (PC/Mac), left click and hold on the sculk sensor.
For Pocket Edition (PE), you tap and hold on the sculk sensor.
For Xbox One, press and hold the RT button on the Xbox controller.
For PS4, press and hold the R2 button on the PS controller.
For Nintendo Switch, press and hold the ZR button on the controller.
For Windows 10 Edition, left click and hold on the sculk sensor.
The sculk sensor will break and a smaller sculk sensor will float on the ground.
4. Pick up the Sculk Sensor
Make sure you pick up the sculk sensor before it disappears.
Once you pick up the sculk sensor, it will appear in your hotbar.
The sculk sensor should be kept in your inventory to be used later.
