This Minecraft tutorial explains the Snowy Slopes biome with screenshots.

In Minecraft, you will spawn into worlds with unique weather, animals, and plants. These regions are known as biomes. Let’s explore the Snowy Slopes biome in Minecraft.

Background

In Minecraft, the Snowy Slopes is a biome in the Overworld that was introduced in the Caves & Cliffs Update: Part II. It is known for its towering mountains made out of snow and powder snow. You can also find lots of goats wandering around this biome and climbing up the peaks of these snowy mountains.

Let’s explore the characteristics of the Snowy Slopes biome.

Weather

The weather in the Snowy Slopes biome has average precipitation (but instead of rain drops, this biome has snow flakes).

Blocks

In this biome, you will find blocks such as snow blocks, top snow, powder snow and stone:

Other Standard Blocks

If you dig down far enough in the Snowy Slopes biome, you will find the standard Minecraft building blocks such as stone, coal ore, iron ore, gold ore, diamond ore, redstone ore, copper ore:
