In Minecraft, hostile mobs will not spawn within a certain radius around the player. This mechanic exists to ensure that mobs will not suddenly spawn near a player and attack unexpectedly. Spawn-Proofed Villagers Mod (1.21.1, 1.20.1) extends this mechanic to villagers. With Spawn-Proofed Villagers Mod (1.21, 1.20.1) installed, hostile mobs will not spawn in a certain radius around villagers. This means a heavily populated village will not have hostile mobs spawning in a certain radius around it.
