The Smithing Templates found in the Trail Ruins are fairly simple and lack detail. To enhance them, the author created this texture pack, which updates the Host, Raiser, Shaper, and Wayfinder Smithing Templates. Superior Trims Texture Pack (1.21) enhances the visual details of the Smithing Templates found in the Trail Ruins.

Note: This is a texture pack, not a mod that adds new Smithing Templates. The descriptions provided are conceptual.

The Shattered Smithing Template would rarely obtained from trading with Piglins while wearing at least one piece of Netherite armor.

[Wayfinder ~~> Shattered]
  • As the name implies this template adds cracks throughout the entire armor set. Random cracks start from the chest, and head which wrap all around.
  • The Whirlwind Smithing Template would be a rare reward that is obtained from using a trial key on the trial vault.

[Shaper ~~> Whirlwind]
  • The pattern of this template is heavily inspired by the Breeze mob. It boasts swirling streams wrapped around the armor. The Helmet has the Breeze eyebrows as well!
  • The Aperture Smithing Template would be a rare reward for completing a puzzle in one of the game’s big structures.

[Host ~~> Aperture]
  • The pattern has many references to the game Portal. Including the portal guns on the side of the head, Wheatley on the back, companion cube chest plate, and portals covering the boots. The leggings are a simple recreation of the character’s pants.
  • The Starbound Smithing Template is a guaranteed drop from killing the Ender Dragon for the second time. Consecutive kills are a 1/16 chance.

[Raiser ~~> Starbound]
  • The pattern grants a star-shaped insignia on the chestplate and helmet. Through the corners of the armor are starbursts! Gives you some snazzy glowing eyes too!
