What The Ocarina Mod does?

The Ocarina Mod adds a fully-functioning Ocarina straight from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask into Minecraft! The Ocarina functions just like it does in The Legend of Zelda. Future versions of this mod will allow you to learn and play songs that will affect gameplay!

Crafting Recipes:

Recommend that you should install Just Enough Items (for mods using Forge) or Roughly Enough Items (for mods using Fabric) to view the full recipes included in this mod

First, you must mold clay into the Ocarina’s shape:

After that, you must simply harden the clay by firing it:

Then, you have your own playable Ocarina!

To craft songs, you first need to create Music Paper to write the song on!

Music Paper is crafted with a feather, an ink sac, and a piece of paper.

These items can be put anywhere in the crafting table to get the same results.

You can now copy songs, just like maps! All you need is one copy of the song and a Music paper!

Like the Song Paper, these can be put anywhere in the crafting area.

Although it’s not the actual Tri-Force, Redstone Tri-Forces possess magical properties. They are used for crafting other items. It needs 3 gold ingots and 1 redstone dust.

To create a Tri-Force block, put 3 redstone Tri-Forces, a Lapis Lazuli block, and a Zelda’s Lullaby in the crafting bench like so. The block can be powered when Zelda’s Lullaby is played nearby.

Time Blocks cannot be crafted, but are available in the Creative Menu.

Songs:

Show Spoiler
When you first craft your Ocarina, you won’t know any songs. To learn a song, you must find the corresponding item and use it (They look purple because they have the glowing effect on them).

The songs that have in-game uses now have crafting recipes. To craft them, you must use the essence of natural items relating to the song’s ability combined with song paper. Details for each song is below.

The book on the left is the Book of Forgetfulness. When used, it will erase all the songs you know. I originally added it for debugging purposes, but I decided to leave it in.

Here are all of the songs currently learnable and what they do:

Song of Time:

When played near Time Blocks, the Song of Time causes them to disappear, similar to its use in Ocarina of Time. Eventually, Time Blocks will generate in Minecraft, but for now they are only available through the Creative inventory for use in Adventure maps.

The Song of Time can be found in Desert Pyramids, Mineshafts, and Strongholds.

Song of Storms:

The Song of Storms, when played, makes it rain. What else did you expect? It will also turn off the rain too for those who don’t like it.

The Song of Storms can be found in Dungeons, Jungle Temples, and in Strongholds.

Recipe:

To craft the Song of Storms, you need lots of water and blue dye

(cause rain makes you feel blue, of course!)

Sun’s Song:

The Sun’s Song will set the time to either morning (if it’s night) and evening (if it’s day).

The Sun’s Song can be found in Dungeons and in Desert Pyramids.

Recipe:

Glowing Dust and fiery rods will allow you to learn the song that summons the Sun!

Song of Healing:

Not only does the Song of Healing clear all status affects on you, it also has a 75% of giving you a random status affect! You could get anything from resistance to regeneration to instant health!

The Song of Healing can be found in Jungle Temples, Mineshafts, and Strongholds.

Recipe:

Magical, golden fruit and restoring milk hold the secret to the Song of Healing!

Zelda’s Lullaby:

When played, Zelda’s Lullaby activates special redstone blocks if they are two blocks or less away. The blocks send out a redstone pulse similiar to a button press.

Although there is no crafting recipe for Zelda’s Lullaby, it can be found in Dungeons, Mineshafts, and Strongholds.

Song of Soaring:

When played, the Song of Soaring warps you to the bed you last slept in or to Spawn.

It can be found in Desert Pyramids, Jungle Temples, and Strongholds.

Saria’s Song:

When played, Saria’s Song will allow you to talk to Saria!

The song can be found in Dungeons, Desert Pyramids, and Jungle Temples.
