The Vanilla Experience Modpack (1.21.5, 1.20.1) – Ultimate Improvements
The Vanilla Experience Modpack (1.21.5, 1.20.1) is a light custom-coded modpack which is interchangeable with the vanilla game. Existing save files can be used and will continue to work when all mods have been removed. Containing mostly minor and some major tweaks, while staying true to the vanilla game experience.

- Advancement Screenshot: Takes a screenshot when an advancement is achieved.
- All Loot Drops: Entities always drop all possible loot from their loot table.
- Always a Wither Skull: Wither skeletons always drop their skull.
- Anvil Restoration: Repair anvils by right-clicking with iron; damage them with obsidian.
- Areas: Create named areas using signs; GUI message sent when entering specified radius (see mod page for details).
- Automatic Doors: Doors near the player automatically open.
- Beatified Chat Server: Server modifies player chat for readability, adds timestamps.
- Better Beacon Placement: Place beacon bases easily by crouch+right-clicking with mineral blocks.
- Better Conduit Placement: Same as above, but for conduits with prismarine blocks.
- Better Spawner Control: Place 5 torches around a mob spawner to prevent mob spawning.
- Bigger Sponge Absorption Radius: Extra sponges increase water absorption radius when placed together.
- Bottle Your Xp: Create bottles o’ enchanting from XP by crouch+right-clicking an empty bottle.
- Bottled Air: Use empty glass bottles for extra oxygen underwater; hold fire-type block to evaporate water.
- Bouncier Beds: Beds are bouncier, launching players upward.
- Breedable Killer Rabbit: Killer Rabbit may spawn from two normal rabbits, tamable with a golden carrot.
- Campfire Spawn and Tweaks: Set respawn point at campfires; spawn with fire resistance.
- Collective: Library mod with common code for other mods listed.
- Compact Help Command: Redesigned /help command for better readability.
- Conduits Prevent Drowned: Conduit effect stops drowned spawns near the player.
- Configurable Despawn Timer: Items stay on the ground for 10 minutes instead of 5.
- Creative Block Replacer: [Admin] Sneak three times in creative mode to enable block replacement mode.
- Crying Ghasts: Ghasts periodically drop tears near players for sustainable farming.
- Crying Portals: Use crying obsidian to build nether portals or mix with regular obsidian.
- Cycle Paintings: Right-click a painting with another painting to cycle through art options.
- Death Backup: Auto-backs up player inventories before death; load with /deathbackup (requires cheats).
- Despawning Eggs Hatch: Eggs hatch before despawning if fewer than 50 chickens are nearby.
- Dismount Entity: Crouch+right-click a boat/minecart to dismount all entities.
- Double Doors: Adjacent doors, fence gates, and trapdoors open simultaneously via click or redstone.
- Dragon Drops Elytra: Ender Dragon drops an elytra on death.
- Easy Elytra Takeoff: Take off with elytra from the ground using a firework rocket, no jump needed.
- Edibles: Consume blaze powder, glowstone dust, magma cream, sugar, ghast tears, phantom membrane, or rabbit’s foot for short potion effects.
- Enchanting Commands: [Admin] Use /ec to create items with enchantments above default limits.
- End Portal Recipe: Craft, move, and use end portals in survival (see mod page for recipe and activation).
- Eroding Stone Entities: Stone-type blocks in flowing water for 2.5 minutes turn into sand.
- Extended Bone Meal: Use bone meal on cacti, sugar cane, netherwart; crouch+right-click for instant full growth.
- Extended Creative Inventory: Adds all non-default creative items to a custom tab.
- Extract Poison: Right-click cave spiders, pufferfish, or bees with an empty bottle to extract poison.
- Fall Through Slime: Slime blocks don’t support player weight when still, causing slow sinking.
- Faster Crouching: Crouching doesn’t slow movement; same speed as walking.
- Fire Spread Tweaks: Fire spread disabled; fires extinguish randomly, except on netherrack, magma blocks, and soul sand.
- First Join Message: Sends a message to players on their first world join.
- Fish On The Line: Bell in offhand rings when fishing rod gets a nibble.
- Fixed Anvil Repair Cost: Sets consistent anvil repair costs (level, material, percentage).
- Followers Teleport Too: Teleported pets follow the player.
- Furnace Recycle: Smelt metal-containing items in a furnace to recover raw materials.
- Giant Spawn: Giants may spawn instead of zombies on the surface with custom AI.
- Grass Seeds: Use wheat seeds to turn dirt into grass or place (tall) grass on grass blocks.
- GUI Clock, GUI Compass: Clock/compass in inventory shows on-screen GUI.
- GUI Followers: Displays a list of following tameable entities in the GUI.
- Grindstone Sharper Tools: Crouch+right-click grindstone with a tool to temporarily sharpen it for more damage.
- Hand Over Your Items: Crouch+right-click a player to give them the item in your hand.
- Healing Campfire: Campfires grant regeneration to players and passive mobs.
- Hide Hands: Totem of undying or torch in offhand isn’t rendered.
- Hoe Tweaks: Crouch+right-click with non-wooden hoe for larger tilling radius; faster crop harvesting; until soil by right-clicking.
- Husk Spawn: Husks may spawn anywhere instead of zombies.
- Ice Prevents Crop Growth: Ice under crops stops maturation for design purposes.
- Infinite Trading: Villager trades never lock, allowing infinite trading.
- Inventory Totem: Totem of undying works anywhere in inventory, no need to hold.
- Just Mob Heads: All mobs have a chance to drop their head on death.
- Keep My Soil Tilled: Harvesting pumpkins/melons next to farmland auto-tills soil.
- Kelp Fertilizer: Kelp functions like bone meal.
- Milk All The Mobs: Sheep, llamas, pigs, donkeys, horses, and mules produce milk.
- Mineral Chance: 1/50 chance to find random minerals when mining stone-type blocks in overworld/nether.
- Mooshroom Spawn: Mooshrooms may spawn anywhere instead of cows.
- Mooshroom Tweaks: Brown mooshrooms spawn naturally with red ones in mushroom biomes.
- More Zombie Villagers: 25% chance for zombies to spawn as zombie villagers.
- Move Boats, Move Minecarts: Move boats/minecarts by crouching and holding right-click; release with right-click.
- Name Tag Tweaks: Adds name tag crafting, /nametag command, and named entities drop nametags on death.
- Naturally Charged Creepers: 10% chance for creepers to spawn charged.
- Nether Portal Spread: Nether portals spread nether blocks in overworld; stop with four coal blocks nearby.
- No Hostiles Around Campfire: Campfires prevent hostile mob spawns nearby.
- Nutritious Milk: Milk fills the food bar when consumed.
- Omega Mute: Sounds play only once every 5 seconds to reduce spam while maintaining immersion.
- Paper Books: Craft books with 9 paper in a crafting grid.
- Passive Endermen: Endermen don’t break/place blocks or attack when looked at.
- Passive Shield: Shield provides passive protection when idle in offhand or main hand.
- Pet Names: Baby tamable animals get random names on spawn.
- Pumpkillager’s Quest: Follow the Pumpkillager questline by breaking pumpkin blocks.
- Quick Paths: Create paths instantly with a shovel by crouch+right-clicking start/end points.
- Rain Be Gone Ritual: Stop rain in survival by placing 4 cauldrons around a burning log.
- Random Bone Meal Flowers: Bone meal spawns random flowers anywhere.
- Random Sheep Colours: New sheep spawns have random wool colors.
- Random Shulker Colours: New shulkers spawn with random shell colors.
- Random Village Names: Villages get random names from a preset list, visible via Areas GUI.
- Realistic Bees: Enhances bee behavior realism.
- Recast: Auto-recasts fishing rod when an item is caught.
- Recipe Commands: /recipes (/rec) command shows item recipe patterns and ingredients in chat.
- Replanting Crops: Crops broken without crouching and holding a hoe auto-replant with seed drops.
- Respawning Shulkers: Shulkers respawn after 60 seconds at death location for sustainable shell farming.
- Scaffolding Drops Nearby: Breaking scaffolding drops all chained blocks at the first block’s position.
- Shulker Drops Two: Shulkers drop two shells.
- Skeleton Horse Spawn: Skeleton horses may spawn naturally with a skeleton rider.
- Sleep Sooner: Sleep at sundown (540 ticks/27 seconds earlier).
- Smaller Nether Portals: Create 1×2, 1×3, or 2×2 nether portals.
- Snowballs Freeze Mobs: Snowballs freeze entities on hit.
- Softer Hay Bales: Hay bales fully negate fall damage.
- Spiders Produce Webs: Spiders periodically spawn webs near players.
- Stack Refill: Auto-refills hand when using the last item if a replacement exists.
- Starter Kit: New players get basic items on first world join.
- Stray Spawn: Strays may spawn anywhere instead of skeletons.
- Superflat World No Slimes: Slimes don’t spawn in superflat worlds.
- Surface Mushrooms: Place mushrooms in any light level.
- TNT Breaks Bedrock: TNT can break bedrock for nether roof access.
- Transcending Trident: Riptide enchantment works with a water bucket and is stronger.
- Tree Harvester: Harvest trees instantly by crouching and breaking the bottom block with an axe.
- Underwater Enchanting: Enchantment table works underwater with bookshelves, up to level 30.
- Vanilla Zoom: Hold left-alt for a temporary spyglass effect.
- Village Spawn Point: New world spawn is always in a village center.
- Village Bell Recipe: Craft bells with 3 logs (top), stone-gold block-stone (middle), stone-air-stone (bottom).
- Villager Death Messages: Broadcasts informational message when a villager dies.
- Villager Names: Villagers have random names; profession visible on trade screen.
- Weaker Spiderwebs: Spiderwebs break when walked through.
- Wool Tweaks: Convert wool to string, re-dye wool, carpets, beds with dye via right-click.
- Your Items Are Safe: On death, items are stored in a chest and armor stand (requires 5 logs or 19 planks in inventory).
- Zombie Horse Spawn: Zombie horses may spawn naturally with a zombie rider.
- Zombie Proof Doors: Zombies can’t target or break doors.
- Zombie Villagers From Spawner: Zombie spawners can spawn zombie villagers.
