Villagers have always been tranquil creatures. They seem to wander around in their village peacefully, under the protection of an iron golem. You can hurt a villager and the only consequence you will have to face is the iron golem, who can easily be defeated with your bare hands. Tightened Village Security Mod (1.20.1, 1.19.2) brings a change to this. This mod makes sure that players who mistreat villagers will have to face serious consequences for their actions. Let us take a look at these in detail.

Features:

  • Attempting to kidnap a villager by making them sit inside a boat will aggregate the Iron Golem.
  • The villager that was tried to kidnap will no longer do trades with you. This is permanent.
  • The same happens when you break a villager’s workbench multiple times to get good trades. Constant resetting of workbench disables that specific villager’s ability to trade.
  • Kidnapping villagers will remove your “Hero of the Village” effect, if you have it. Also the villagers who communicate with the kidnapped villager will mark up their trade prices.
  • The mod offers a config file to toggle ON/OFF any feature of your choice.
