If you have played Minecraft survival, you would know how chopping down trees from a forest leaves behind floating leaves. This is very visually displeasing and these areas are usually closer to your base. Forests in Minecraft do not regenerate on their own and will require the player to manually plant saplings. But most players just ignore these and leave floating leaves the way they are. But not anymore! Tree Cycle Mod (1.20.4, 1.20.1) is here to make minecraft forests regenerate on their own. With this mod installed, trees will occasionally drop saplings. These dropped saplings have a small chance of being planted on their own without requiring a player to do so manually. These planted saplings will then grow up into trees, essentially regenerating the forest area. Odds of this happening can be altered using the new gamerule commands saplingDropSpeed and saplingPlantChance.

Features:

  • Adds a mechanic that allows forests to regenerate on their own.
  • Trees now drop their saplings occasionally.
  • Dropped saplings have a small chance of being planted.
  • Speed of sapling drop and planting chance can be configured using the new gamerule commands – saplingDropSpeed and saplingPlantChance.
