Unbreaking Enchantments – Wiki Guide
This Minecraft tutorial explains the Unbreaking enchantment with screenshots and step-by-step instructions.
Background
The Unbreaking enchantment, in effect, increases the durability of your tools, weapons, and armor so that they don’t wear out as quickly. This is done by decreasing the chance of the tool, weapon, or armor taking durability damage when used.
You can add the Unbreaking enchantment to any pickaxe, shovel, axe, hoe, fishing rod, carrot on a stick, shears, helmet, chestplate, leggings, boots, shield, elytra, sword, trident, bow, or crossbow using an enchanting table, anvil, or game command. Then use the enchanted item and never have it wear out!!
The maximum level for the Unbreaking enchantment is Level 3. This means that you can enchant an item with up to Unbreaking III. The higher the level, the more powerful the enchantment.
