Villagers: Far From Home Mod (1.20.4) introduces the ability for villagers to follow players on their travels. Once a villager has reached at least Journeyman level through trading and is offered an emerald, it will accompany the player on foot. This allows for the transportation of villagers across significant distances. However, villagers will cease following if the player travels too far or engages in dangerous activities like falling into lava or off cliffs, and may return to their home.
