Walkie Talkie Mod (1.20.4, 1.20.1) is a mod that allows us to craft the iconic Walkie-Talkies to communicate with other players from afar via two-way radios. Players can craft a Walkie-Talkie for on-the-go conversations and a speaker for listening to radio channels in a specific place. Using a Walkie-Talkie is as simple as placing it in the character’s hand and right-clicking to open the menu. Then, turn on the Walkie-Talkie and start talking, as long as it is in the character’s hand. On the other hand, the speaker works similarly. After placing the speaker on the ground, right-click it to access its menu and activate it. Both the Walkie-Talkie and the speaker have menus for setting radio channels. The Walkie-Talkies have a range that depends on the material of their antenna. A wooden antenna has a range of 128 blocks, stone 256 blocks, iron 512 blocks, gold 1024 blocks, diamond 2048 blocks, and Netherite up to 4096 blocks.
