Hostility Level (Neutral)
A wolf is a neutral mob. The term mob is short for mobile and is used to refer to all living, moving creatures in the game such as chickens, creepers, and wolves. Because a wolf is a neutral mob, it will only attack you in Survival mode if you attack the wolf first. It will never attack you in Creative mode.
Health Points
In Minecraft, a wolf has 4 hearts for health. This gives a wolf 8 health points (because 1 heart = 2 health points). To kill a wolf, you need to inflict 8 points of damage to the wolf.
Where to Find Wolves
In Minecraft, you can find wolves in Forest, Taiga, Old Growth Spruce Taiga and Grove biomes.

Attack Method
In Minecraft, a wolf jumps at you and tries to bite you when it attacks. What is unique about a wolf is that if you attack a wolf and it doesn’t die in the first strike, all of the wolves in the area will get angry and their eyes will turn red. Then all of the wolves will attack you as a pack.
Drops
When you kill a wolf in Minecraft, it will not drop anything. It is one of the few mobs that when killed, does not drop any items.
Experience Points
As you play the game, you will gain experience. The most common way to gain experience is by killing mobs. When a mob is killed you will see tiny green and yellow balls appear and move towards you.
These orbs represent experience points. When you kill a wolf, you will gain 1-3 experience points.
Special Skills
A wolf is a unique mob in that you can tame a wolf into a dog. This makes a great companion in the game as the tamed dog will defend you in a fight.
Wolves also have the ability to swim in water.
If you have tamed a wolf and it is following you, it will swim across water. When it gets out of the water, it will shake itself off.
